German painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and mosaic designer. Born 1876 in Aachen; active in Munich from 1890. Trained as a decorative painter, pupil at the Munich School of Arts and Crafts, studied at the Munich Academy. Member of the Reich Association of Visual Artists in Germany, the Munich Artists' Support Association and the Munich artists' association "Der Bund". Participated in the Great German Art Exhibition at the House of German Art in Munich in 1938 and 1939.
