    Boguslaw Szwacz was born in 1912 in Lezajsk, Poland. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and graduated with honors in 1937. During the war, he survived in Lviv and settled in Tyniec, where he created a series of landscape watercolors. After the war, he joined the organization of artistic life and started teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He went on a scholarship to Paris in 1947/48 and joined the group Le Surréalisme Révolutionnaire. In 1948, he moved to Warsaw and joined the Club of Young Artists and Scientists. He worked at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from the end of 1949 until his retirement in 1982. He created compositions built of small forms, the rhythms and densities of which on the surface ...
