Worked as a designer for Bernat Klein in Galasheils who produced fashion fabrics for Paris. Lenaghan taught in Glasgow and then St. Columbas School Kilmacolm. She has been painting and exhibiting every year since 1975.
She was elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in 1984.
