    Brenda Lenaghan (b.1941)

    Her ideas are inspired by something seen, mainly while traveling. Her travels have taken Brenda to India, Tibet, China, Japan and most of Europe and Russia.

    Born in 1941 in Galasheils but brought up in Glasgow, she received her Diploma in Graphics and Commercial Art in 1963. Worked as a designer for Bernat Klein in Galasheils who produced fashion fabrics for Paris. Lenaghan taught in Glasgow and then St. Columbas School Kilmacolm. She has been painting and exhibiting every year since 1975.

    She was elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in 1984.
