    Broncia Koller-Pinell was born in 1863, in the former Austrian Galicia.

    In 1870, she went to Vienna with her parents. There, she received private lessons with the painters Robert Raab and Alois Delug. In 1885, she exhibited her works for the first time. In the late 1880's, she studied at the Women's Academy of Munich’s Künstlerinnenverein under Ludwig von Herterich. She also exhibited at the Vienna Künstlerhaus, as well as in Munich and Leipzig.

    In 1902, after a stay in Nuremberg, she again lived in Vienna. She was included in the circle around Gustav Klimt and the secessionists. In 1907, she moved into a house in Oberwaltersdorf, which was decorated by Josef Hoffmann and Kolo ...
