About Bror Alexander Utter

  • Biography

    Bror Utter (Am.1913-1993) was born in Fort Worth. He studied in high school under Sallie Gillespie and afterward under Clinton Blair King. Between 1931 and 1936, Utter worked in his father’s lithograph plant while attending the Fort Worth School of Fine Arts where he was a student Wade Jolly. In the summer of 1940, he studied on scholarship at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.

    He taught painting classes sponsored by the Fort Worth Art Association, in the art department of the Fort Worth Woman’s Club, and for the Fort Worth Junior League.
