    Bruce Braithwaite (b. 1950) from Manchester, England, attended college in the United States, graduating with a degree in design. . He began exhibiting his oil paintings in 1983, documenting the landscapes of Cumberland Island and southwest Georgia. After 1986 he established a studio in downtown Atlanta and developed an interest in urban landscapes. His urban scenes were first displayed in the exhibition "Atlanta: A City Portrait" in the 1980s, and later highlighted during the 1996 Olympics, when Braithwaite's work was displayed in the administrative offices of the games.


    In the 1990s Braithwaite relocated to Princeton, New Jersey and expanded his observations to the metropolitan scenes of New York and Philadelphia. He has ...
