Carl Wennemoes attended the Academy in Copenhagen where he was a pupil of Holger Grønvold and Peter Skov. He undertook study trips to Germany and Switzerland. In Italy he worked as a decorator and received commissions for the painting of church interiors.

Thanks to a scholarship Wennemoes was able to continue his education, studying mural painting at various art schools. In 1927 he traveled to Paris. From 1928 onwards he spent time in Sweden each year, where many of his landscapes were created. Wennemoes showed his works in various Danish and Swedish galleries and exhibitions. (cru)...
