Our family lived only a few streets away in Brooklyn from the house he occupied with my grandmother and my great- grandmother. In fact his art studio was located on the second floor at 206 Parkville Avenue, Brooklyn for about fifty years. My four sisters and I often had to pose ( usually reluctantly) for many of his sketches.
