    Casimir Reymond, born in Vaulion on April 9, 1893 and died in the same city on July 16, 1969, is a painter, sculptor, cartonnier, teacher and school director.

    He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Geneva (1910-1913) and then turned to sculpture. He obtained the federal scholarship of the fine arts in 1914. He created a Biblical relief for the cathedral of Lausanne (1918-1919), participated in several exhibitions in Paris (1921-1925) and realized the monumental neoclassical cariatids in marble for the entrance hall of the Federal Court (1925-1927). He made impressive busts of artists of his time such as of Felix Vallotton (1923) or Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz (1927).
