    BIOGRAPHIES: Charles Goldhamer OSA, CSGA, SCPEE, CSPWC (1903 - 1985)

    A prominent Canadian painter, printmaker, draftsman, commercial artist, author, illustrator, educator and war artist, Charles Goldhamer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but came to Canada as an infant (1904) with his parents. He lived and worked for most of his life in Toronto, Ontario where he died.

    His mediums included oil, watercolor, pencil, pastel, charcoal, lithograph* and wood block prints*. His subjects included portraits, landscapes, figures, harbors, villages, genre* and war. His style was Realism*.
