    Chris Achilleos (b. 1947)

    Born in Famagusta, Cyprus, he now lives and works in London. Achilleos is an artist and illustrator known for his glamour art and fantasy images such as Dragons and Amazons inspired by mythology and ancient civilizations. His work has been collected and showcased in four art books: Amazona, Medusa, Sirens, and Beauty and the Beast. He is also recognized for the original Star Trek, Target, and Dr. Who book-cover illustrations. He has painted book covers for novels by fantasy authors Michael Moorcock, Edgar Rice Burrough, and Robert E. Howard. In addition, he worked on the movies Heavy Metal, Willow, King Arthur, and The Last Legion.
