    Chris Bracey was a British artist born in London in 1954. He studied art in college and later joined his family's business, Electro Signs, where he designed neon signs that defined and illuminated Soho in the 1970s. Bracey went on to design neon signs for movies such as Blade Runner, Eyes Wide Shut, and Dark Knight. He also created a monumental lightning bolt for the 2013 Bowie exhibition at the V&A and a neon sign for Jay-Z's record label.

    Bracey was an avid collector of vintage neon signs and housed them in his studio gallery, God's Own Junkyard, in Walthamstow. His patrons included Kate Moss, Jude Law, Elton John, and Lady Gaga.
