    The painter Claas Hendrik Meiners belongs to the Oosterbeek School. Trained in BC Koekkoek, he travelled regularly to the south of Veluwezoom from 1853 onwards. There he joined a group of painters who made the landscape of Wolfeze and Oosterbeek the subject of their paintings.
