    Daniel J. Izzard FCA, OIP (1923 - 2007)

    Daniel Izzard was an impressionist painter born in London, England in 1923. He served in the Royal Navy from 1942 to 1947 and was the art editor for HMS Vanguard Magazine during the Royal Tour of South Africa in 1947.

    He moved to Canada in 1952, where he began his essentially self-taught career as a painter in Toronto. His subjects are landscapes, seascapes, still lives, portraits and nudes. His medium is primarily oil, however he has worked in watercolor and pencil. In 1965, he moved to West Vancouver, B.C. where he painted actively until his death from injuries sustained in an accident. He has painted professionally for over 50 years and has travele...
