    David Huchthausen’s achievements over the past 35 years have played a vital role in the evolution of glass into a fine art form. His sculpture is included in the permanent collections of 65 major museums worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum in New York, The Smithsonian In Washington D.C., the Hokkaido Museum in Sapporo, Japan and the Museum of Fine Art in Dusseldorf, Germany.

    Huchthausen earned a B.S. and M.A. from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he served as a graduate assistant to Harvey Littleton in the early 1970s. He received an M.F.A. from Illinois State University, and directed the glass program there from 1976 – 1977.
