Rosenthal has participated in the efforts of the Artists for Nature Foundation, an organization based in the Netherlands and consisting of artists dedicated to promoting, through their work, the conservation of natural and historical landscapes around the globe. Among their focus sites is the Copper River Delta region of Alaska, where Rosenthal lives in the town of Cordova.

Examples of his work featuring the landscape there are: 'Little Mummy Island', (oil on canvas), and 'Delta from Heney Ridge' (oil on canvas).

His work has been included in the book 'Alaska's Copper River Delta' by Riki Ott.
