David Reimondo has always been fascinated by the biological body and its representation. In his work, this Italian artist addresses the dilemmas of self-questioning and representation, by creating canvases devoid of human presence.

Deprived of their substance, the images represented are intended to trengthen the idea of the existence of men through their socio-ethnic belonging. Only the appearance, or human trace, is implicitly evoked.

In his studio in Milan, the artist, helped by three assistants, spends his days covering some parts of breads slices with the appropriate aluminum mask to protect them from the toasting or burning he inflicts upon them before arranging and solidifying the whole into biological resin.
