    With a remarkable career that spans almost forty years, Deborah Halpern is one of Australia’s most respected and much-loved artists. Creator of many of Melbourne’s most loved public sculptures, Halpern’s works exude an innate vitality and alluring simplicity. Spontaneous in form, her works recall visions of Gaudi, Picasso and the playful surrealism of French sculptor Niki de Sant Phalle.

    Growing up in the world of ceramics, Deborah’s parents were both potters and influenced her colorful, whimsical and funky aesthetic.
