    Pécsi-Pilch was a respected and popular prominent representative of the Hungarian art world before the Second World War. In addition to his ethnographic interest, he travelled tirelessly through Europe, capturing the beauties of Mediterranean cities with a light brush. He participated in the modern art initiatives of the era. He also exhibited with KUT, and took a position as president in UME, which gathered young people around Vaszary.
