    Diana Low (1911-1975) was a well-known painter in oil and pastel and a printmaker. Her subjects were mainly landscapes, beach scenes, figure subjects and still life.

    She was born in London, and studied art at the Academie Ranson in Paris, at the Slade School under Randolph Schwabe, and under Sir William Nicholson.

    Diana Low exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1949, at the New English Art Club from 1934, at the Royal Scottish Academy from 1966-69, and at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Royal Society of British Artists, and abroad.

    She lived near Tenterden in Kent, and her work is represented in a number of public collections including The Towner Art Gallery Eastbourne, Cambridge University, Rye Art Gallery...
