    Douglas Dundas, a 20th Century post impressionist was born in 1900 at Inverell, New South Wales, Australia. His early life was spent on the land. From 1922--1927 he was on the display staff of Farmer and Company LTD. In 1927 he won the Society of Artists traveling scholarship. He studied art under Julian Aston at the Polytechnical School of Art, London, England. He studied and traveled in England and Europe for two years and exibited at the Royal Academy in London and at the Paris Salon in 1929. In the same year he returned to Australia.
