    Duncan Cameron studied in Dundee and South Kensington, London. He was active in Stirling and Edinburgh, known for his Scottish landscape interpretations, particularly depicting grain fields. Cameron exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts and the Royal Society of British Artists between 1872 and 1900, receiving the gold medal for best landscape painting in 1876 at the Crystal Palace.
