In the early 1940's he settled in Laguna Beach, California. It was here that he was very active as a painter of landscapes and seascapes. He spent many years teaching and lecturing the surrounding art community. He was a well known, and respected member of the Laguna Beach art community. Daniels' works have been exhibited nationally, and throughout California. In 1963 the late President Kennedy and Mrs. Kennedy commissioned him to paint a piece for their personal collection.
