About Eldon Dedini

  • Biography

    A native of the California central coast south of Monterey, Eldon Dedini began his professional career doing story board continuity for Universal in Los Angeles (1944-1947), followed by a stint as a story cartoonist for Walt Disney Co. (1947-1949), where he worked on the 1947 feature Mickey and the Beanstalk (aka Fun and Fancy Free), as well as Ichabod and Mr. Toad and several Donald Duck shorts.

    Returning to the Monterey, California area in 1949, Mr. Dedini switched his focus and became a prominent cartoonist associated with a series of the most widely-distributed popular magazines.
