    German portrait and animal painter, draftsman, graphic artist, book illustrator and press illustrator (Elsa Sturm-Lindner was born in 1916 Dresden. She studied at the Dresden School of Applied Arts with Max Frey, Arno Drescher and Georg Erler, and later at the Dresden Academy with Rudolf Schramm- Zittau. Elsa was a German portrait and animal painter, draftsman, graphic artist, book illustrator and press illustrator, known especially for her theater drawings. She provided them as a reviewer on behalf of the "Dramaturgische Blätter" (1948-52) and on behalf of the Dresden daily newspaper "Sächsisches Tageblatt" (1946-88).
