    Emanuele Luzzati was an Italian artist who trained at the School of Fine Arts in Lausanne, Switzerland due to his Jewish origin and the fascist racial laws in Italy. He was an eclectic artist who worked with various materials such as terracotta, enamel, weaving, engraving, and collages.

    Luzzati was known for his fantastic world and highly personal style. He made over a dozen animated shorts and worked as a set designer for various companies. He also collaborated as an illustrator for works by Italo Calvino and the Brothers Grimm. Luzzati was nominated for an Oscar twice for his animated shorts
