    Enrique Planas Durá, known as "Planasdurá," was a Catalan artist who was a pioneer of abstract painting in Catalonia. He was a versatile artist who worked in various techniques such as painting, engraving, mural, stained glass, theatrical scenography, and sculpture. Planasdurá was associated with artistic groups like Lays del Círculo de Sant Lluc and the Ada group. He debuted in the Alfa Galleries in Barcelona in 1943 with an expressionist work but later defined himself within a geometric abstraction style characterized by strong chromatic intensity.
