    José Enrique Fernández y Enríquez de Salamanca, better known as Enrique Salamanca, is a Spanish artist who studied Fine Arts and drawing in Madrid. He lived on the island of Ibiza in 1965 and opened his own silkscreen workshop in 1968. Salamanca collaborated with artists from the Carl Van der Voort gallery and was part of the Nueva Generación group in the 1970s. He received the Gold Medal at the VI Biennial of Sculpture in Zaragoza in 1973 and participated in exhibitions in various countries. Salamanca received his first major institutional commission in 1984 for a sculpture at the Madrid City Hall. His works can be found in important collections and museums across Spain.
