    Erich Krüger studied at the Berlin Art Academy under Bruno Paul and later, after an interruption through the First World War, under professor Gärtner and Paul Müller-Kaempff. After his studio had been destroyed in 1944, Krüger moved to the village of Wernigerode and several of his paintings show the surrounding landscape.

    Some of his works can today be found in the Harzmuseum Wernigerode and the museum castle Wernigerode.
