    Esaias Thorén wanted to be a musician first, but after seeing a work of art by GAN, Gösta Adrian-Nilsson, he began painting. In 1923 he meets Sven Jonson and forms the group The Young with Axel Olson.

    After that, he studies in Stockholm in 1925 and a trip to Paris in 1926 awaits. The art of Esaias Thoré was influenced by cubism during the 1920's. Together with Erik Olson he visited, among other things, Fernand Léger's studio in Paris. When returning to Sweden in the second half of the 1920's, it relieves the artist.
