    Eugen Kirchner was born in 1865 in Halle and lived until 1838 Munich. Kirchner was a German painter, draftsman, etcher and illustrator who studied from 1883 at the Academy Berlin with Paul Thumann and Paul Friedrich Meyerheim. In 1888 Kirchner relocated to Munich and together with Fritz von Uhde, Kalckreuth, Langhammer and Hugo King worked as a landscape painter in Dachau. Kirchner was a founding member of the Munich Secession, and increasingly worked as an illustrator. For over 30 years he was an employee of the "Flying Leaves" and later the "Meggendorfer Blätter". At times Kirchner worked as a designer for toys for the Dresden workshops for craftsmanship. He was invited to the exhibitions of the Munich Glass Palace, Sesource : Thieme-Becker, Dressler and Vollmer...
