    Eugeniusz Dzierzencki (1904 - 1990)

    Dzierzencki was a Polish painter and maritime historian who was born in 1904 in Warsaw and died in 1990 in Sopot. From1924, he studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts under the direction of Wladyslaw Skoczylas and Leon Wyczólkowski, and then stopped studying and went to Gdynia. Even before 1939, he was known as a consummate maritime historian and author of cityscapes of Gdansk and Sopot.
