    Federico Rossano (1835-1912) was an Italian painter known for his impressionist style and Parisian landscapes. He was born in Naples, Italy, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples before being dismissed for indiscipline. Rossano was a part of the School of Resìna and later moved to Paris, where he was influenced by the impressionists and the art of Corot. He married Zelye Brocheton in 1880 and participated in exhibitions in France, Italy, Vienna, and London. Rossano returned to Portici in 1893 and later held the chair of painting at the Royal Academy of Drawing in Naples. He participated in the Venice Biennale from 1899 to 1905 and in 1910.
