Federico de Madrazo y Kuntz (Rome, February 9, 1815-Madrid, June 10, 1894) was a Spanish painter, specializing in romantic-style portraits. Madrazo painted portraits, especially of the aristocratic and cultural world (Carolina Coronado, Manuel Rivadeneyra, Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, Ramón de Campoamor, the Countess of Vilches, the Marquise de Espeja, General Evaristo San Miguel, Larra) and some paintings. of history, although almost all of these are from his youthful stage.
