    Feodor Szerbakow was born on February 2, 1911 in Eckertsdorf (East Prussia). He was a Russian-German landscape and still-life painter. In 1928 he left his home and went to Szczecin. The young man from the silent forests became a painter. Because he had no money, Fedor paid his art teacher with ink drawings. Even later his promoters were paid with pictures. When the masurische farm boy with nature in the heart and the brush in hand went to Berlin drew to study at the School of Art at Buchholz, Hentschke and Lange painting, home was more distant than ever.
