    Ferdinand Maron was a portrait, genre, and landscape painter born around 1810 in Gransee, Germany. He participated in the Berlin Academy Exhibitions from 1839 to 1843 and moved to Paris in 1846, where he supplied the Salon until 1859. One of his notable works is a portrait of Polish noblewoman Zofia Branicka (Countess Zofia Potocka), which is in the National Museum in Warsaw. His style is characterized by expressive and characterizing work. His death year is not available, but he was active until at least 1865.
