    Fernando Troso was born in 1910. Fernando Troso learned the art of sculpture in the workshop of his father. At the age of seventeen he moved to Rome, where he worked as a stonemason.

    In 1928 he created his first bust, depicting Pope Pius XI. He showed his early paintings in an exhibition in Rome in 1934. Further exhibitions, mainly in Rome, followed.

    In 1956 Troso participated in the Venice Biennale. In his paintings, the artist often depicted pastoral world, defined by a nostalgia for the past. Troso's sculptures are characterized by a fine execution and feature his talent to render the human form.
