About Frank Dorn

  • Biography

    Born in San Francisco, CA on June 25, 1901. Dorn was a pupil at the CSFA during 1915-18, and the winner of a Liberty Poster prize in 1918. He then entered West Point, made a career of the Army, and retired to Carmel, CA as brigadeer general. He died in Washington, DC in July 1981. His painting subjects include the California missions.
