    BIOGRAPHY
    Frederick (Fred) Hagan CPE, CSGA, OSA, PDCC (1918 – 2003)

    A prominent Canadian painter, printmaker, draftsman, muralist and educator, Robert Frederick Hagan was born in Toronto (Cabbagetown neighborhood), Ontario and died in Newmarket, Ontario (about 30 miles north of Toronto) where he had lived since the early 1940s. He was an instructor at the Ontario College of Art* for 37 years and was elected President of the Canadian Society of Graphic Art* three times. The permanent collections of twenty Canadian museums house over 700 hundred of his works including 83 in the National Gallery of Canada.
