A prominent Canadian painter, printmaker, draftsman, muralist and educator, Robert Frederick Hagan was born in Toronto (Cabbagetown neighborhood), Ontario and died in Newmarket, Ontario (about 30 miles north of Toronto) where he had lived since the early 1940s.
