    I developed this biography after purchasing a Bosley painting from Vose
    Gallery in Boston.

    FREDERICK ANDREW BOSLEY, A.N.A.
    American
    Born: 1881 in Lebanon, New Hampshire
    Died: 1942 in Concord, Massachusetts

    Painter of portraits, figures and still lifes. Bosley entered the Boston
    Museum School in 1900 and became a favored pupil of Tarbell and Benson. He
    won the School's Sears Prize in 1904 and the Paige Traveling scholarship in
    1907, which allowed him two years of European study.
