Fritz Dreisbach was born in 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio. He received multiple degrees from various universities and worked as an assistant to Harvey Littleton at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dreisbach taught at various schools including the School of the Toledo Museum of Art, Pilchuk Glass School, and Penland School of Crafts. He was a founding member and two-term president of the Glass Art Society.
