    Fritz Schaefler was a landscape and figure painter from Germany who studied at the Düsseldorf and Munich academies under notable artists such as E. von Gebhardt and P. von Halm. He was a member of the Hamburg secession and the Deutscher Künstlerbund. Later in his career, he became a professor in Hamburg.
