    Roland Goossens, better known as Gos, was one of the popular artists that published in Spirou magazine from the 1970s throughout the 1990s. Born in Thy-le-Château, he was in the professional military prior to his career in comics. He devoted his spare time to drawing and published his first comic story in the military magazine Nos Forces.

    He was in his late 20's when he switched careers and joined Studio Peyo in 1965. He was Peyo's right-hand man on Les Schtroumpfs, Benoît Brisefer and Jacky et Célestin. Gos published his first solo short story in Spirou magazine in 1966 and helped his studio colleague François Walthéry in the creation of his own series Natach', for which he wrote the scripts...
