    Georgios Kosmadopoulos was born in Volos in 1895. He died in Athens in 1967. He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Leipzig and the Grande Chaumière in Paris.

    He presented works for the first time in Greece and abroad in 1926. Since then he has presented his work in many solo and group exhibitions. In 1936 he was awarded the Silver Medal of the International Exhibition of Paris. He also participated at the Venice Biennale 1934 and 1936 and in many Panhellenic Exhibitions.

    His paintings include portraits, landscapes and compositions. His style moves between realism and impressionism especially in landscapes, he used small sharp brushstrokes of the Impressionists with color contrast...
