    Geza Farago was born in 1877. Ferenc Újházy taught Farago to draw. Later, Farago worked at a blue-paint factory in Budapest.

    Farago travelled to Paris in 1898, where he attended Colorassi's evening classes for a while. Farago worked in Alfonz Mucha's workshop for two years.

    Geza Farago showed his work at the Paris Salon on numerous occasions. Farago returned to Hungary in 1902.

    He painted in Adolf Fényes's studio in Szolnok through two summers and then worked with Grünwald Iványi in the Kecskemét artists' colony.

    Farago also did posters, caricatures and stage sets. He was the stage designer for the Operetta Theatre for fifteen years.

    Geza Farago passed away in 1928.
