    Giacomo Campi was an Italian artist born in Milan, Italy. He began his studies under Professor Gandolfi before joining the Academy of Carrara in Bergamo under the direction of Scuri. He then worked in Rome and at the Roman College of the Vatican with Francesco Posdesti before settling in Milan where he opened his studio. Campi is known for his realism and oil paintings. His works can be found in many residences such as the Villa Bagatti-Valsecchi in Milan, in the Arnaboldi house in Carimate, in the house of Duke Melzi d'Eril or the Prince of Castelbarco in Saint-Moritz.
