The American artist Greg Haberny, b. 1970, is well-known for his installations and collages as well as his filmmaking of highly politically motivated and controversial style. The cultural iconography in his works is inspired by a great variety of elements, from vintage comics to pin up girls and from the style of Terry Richardson to the style of Alfred Hitchcock. His works often deal with political corruption, propaganda, greed, intolerance and environmental disasters amongst other themes and encourage a dialogue. Yet his works also appear bold and hopeful for change by the way in which they focus on detail and tell a story.
