    A pastel and oil painter of landscapes, figures, and portraits in an impressionist style, Guadalupe Apodaca was born in Fort Collins, Colorado and lived for many years in Sedona, Arizona. He moved to Denver in the late 1990s, and is a long-time member of the Pastel Society of America.

    He began drawing and painting at the age of three and has said his most influential art teacher was George Cherepov who encouraged him to paint landscapes in Portugal, Spain, and Mexico as well as the American Southwest.
