    Gudmar Olovson, born in 1936, was a Swedish sculptor who was moving towards figurative art. After studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, he lived for a moment between Florence and Rome. Gudmar arrived in Paris in 1959, thanks to which he met and became friends with many artists. Jean Carton, Paul Cornet and Jean Osouf are particularly noteworthy. The first became his master and the two others influenced his work enormously. The Swedish sculptor, with a passion for French Gothic art, as well as for painting and sculpture from the early Renaissance, worked a lot with artists such as Charles Auffret and René Babin.
